The Level 7 Diploma Project Management qualification is designed to meet the needs of senior managers responsible for projects and provide a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental topics needed to manage business projects within a complex and ever-changing environment.       The aim of this unit is to teach the learner about portfolio management and the features that go along with it. The importance of maintaining a Project Management Office would also be discussed, as well as the steps of building a successful project management office. Learners may also look at the supply chain environment and IT structures that are suitable for logistics and supply chain dynamics.<\/p>\n

        The unit\u2019s goal is to give students the practical, analytical, and methodological skills they\u2019ll need to perform independent research for their research project and management in general. It recognises that conducting research necessitates creating basic and general research skills, such as understanding the research design process, various methods for researching market and management studies, and an appreciation of the ethical and social aspects of high-value research.<\/p>\n

        • Operations and Information Management for Project Managers<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          This unit aims to help students understand project management operations and information systems critically. The effect of contemporary influences on interrelationships within functional areas will be investigated. Learners will investigate organisational strategies with product planning capability, as well as the importance of inventory management through the use of information systems and inventory schedules.<\/p>\n

          • Planning, Controlling and Leading a Project<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            This unit is designed to expose students to the realities of project development and management. It will also expose students to the difficulties of project management in the modern business environment. Its goal is to encourage critical thinking about project management as dynamic, process-based cultural processes that are continually evolving thanks to the efforts of high-performing teams. Understanding effective project management is critical as a growing number of businesses engage in project planning and management practices. The tasks and duties of project team members will be taught to students.<\/p>\n

            • Procurement Risk and Contract Management<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              The unit\u2019s goal is to help students grasp the fundamentals of procurement as well as the value of understanding and handling uncertainties associated with procurement and contract management. The students will also gain a critical understanding of different regulatory mechanisms relevant to procurement and consider risk management frameworks in the field of procurement.<\/p>\n

                ENTRY REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n

                • For entry onto the Level 7 Diploma in Project Management qualification, learners must possess: An honours degree in related subject or UK level 6 diploma or an equivalent overseas qualification Mature learners with management experience (learners must check with the delivery centre regarding this experience prior to registering for the programme) Learners must be 21 years old or older at the beginning of the course English requirements: If a learner is not from a majority English-speaking country must provide evidence of English language competency.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
